From The Back Of The Files

Here’s another one that I don’t remember much about. Some sort of color sketch for a fanzine of some kind. Not sure when or for who, but the medium is about as mixed as you can get: dyes, pencils, ink, gouche with a little airbrush.

The Brow

This is one of those sketchbook exercises I do when the spirit moves me. I usually flip through a magazine or newspaper and look for an interesting face, then try to draw it direct with marker, no penciling. I dug the way this guy’s brow worked.

Everybody Must Get Bit

Jed Mayer sends in this photo of his favorite t-shirt. I printed these up in 1995 to promote RARE BIT FIENDS, with the hope they’d catch on like the DR. BLASPHEMY @#*! design (which they never did).  Jed’s looks pretty lived in though!
